2. Photographers make most of their money from only two people:  bride and groom.  The JoinFamily service gives them the opportunity to sell prints and future weddings to the hundreds of guests.

Market

Showing family trees at weddings is a new concept.  However, it is not the first new concept at weddings.  Thirty years ago, showing videos was considered revolutionary and expensive.  Eventually, it became common and today most people wouldn't dream of having a wedding without hiring a videographer.

The JoinFamily service will initially be targeted to couples who are into families or want something different.  Eventually, we believe showing family trees at weddings will become standard.

Cost

We're offering the use of JoinFamily.com to you and your clients for free.  If you prefer professional contractor services, controls and benefits, register a Family Tree Contracter Account (details below).

Most wedding attendees do not remember the contractor.  JoinFamily will show your Contractor logo and info link on the family trees you help build.  This provides you with a low cost advertising advantage over your competitors.

For example, if you sell the JoinFamily service to a couple, let's call them Tony and Helen Bellini, we can show your Contractor logo and info link to every Bellini user.  The logo will say, "Family Tree started by (your company name) at Tony and Helen's wedding."  This way, if Bellini relatives like the family tree, the wedding photos or their portraits, they can easily ask you for prints or to do their next wedding.

It is important to note that your logo will be available on the Bellini family tree long after the wedding is over, providing you with additional business and keeping your name in the forefront of the customer's mind.  As the Bellini family tree grows on its own, more users will see your logo.

As every advertising professional knows, nothing is more effective than word of mouth.  By having your logo on the Bellini family tree, the Bellini couple is effectively referring your business to their family.

The fee for this advertising is $100/year.  With this, you get a Contractor Account to manage your information.  It has these features:

• Client Administration
• Statistics
• Advertising/Marketing

If you have an issue of non-payment from a family tree client, you will be able to suspend all of the family members' access to JoinFamily.  Additionally, you will be able to track the size of each family tree, the number of family trees you created (and advertised on) and the total number of users who are members of family trees that you created.

Sub-Contract

To provide this service, a family tree contractor will require a PC, internet connection and a projector.

If you do not wish to take on this expense, JoinFamily will be more than happy to be a Sub-Contractor.  We will provide you with all the operating equipment and an assistant to build the JoinFamily tree for you.  The fee depends on the number of attendees.

For a limited time offer, we will provide this sub-contractor service for free for your first wedding.  All you have to do is sell the service and keep all of the revenue.

How it works

Before the wedding, the bride and groom will provide their photos to you.  You will then create a family tree on JoinFamily.  The family may also decide to provide photos of additional family members like parents, grandparents and great grandparents.  

At the reception, the contractor has his PC and projector set-up at a table.  This service can be customized to suit the preferences of the bride and groom.  Here are a few possible options:

Option 1 - The Grand Premier (recommended)

• When guests arrive at the receiving line, designated member(s) of the bridal party suggest to relatives of the bride and groom that they visit the contractor's table and be added to the family tree.  During speeches, the M/C will announce the premier of the family tree. This would be done as part of a special segment that honours all their ancestors (parents, grandparents, great grandparent, etc). The family tree showing all the ancestors is then projected on a wall or screen to all the guests . The M/C would then announce that the Bride and Groom request that any family members who have not been added to the family tree, get added at the contractor's table at any time after the speeches.

Option 2 - The Premier

• During speeches, the M/C will announce the premier of the family tree. This would be done as part of a special segment that honours all their ancestors (parents, grandparents, great grandparent, etc). The family tree showing all the ancestors is then projected on a wall or screen to all the guests . The M/C would then announce that the Bride and Groom request that family members get added to their family tree by visiting the contractor's table at any time after the speeches.

Common to all options:

• Everybody will see the family tree grow on the projector.  The relatives will be able to easily see how they are related to each other, which will bring them closer together.  This experience will be similar to what happens at family reunions.  One of the families on JoinFamily printed and posted their family tree of 300+ people at their reunion.  Most of their attendees referred to the family tree to see how they were related to the people they were talking to.
   
• If anybody is missed, any relative can sign in on the website and add a relative, at any time after the wedding.
   
• Many wedding couples send cards with a small photo of themselves to the attendees after the wedding is over.  Instead, or in addition, they will be able to send the JoinFamily family tree, wedding photos and provide a place to social-network as a nice gift or memorabilia.
   
• Any user can upload albums of photos.  Therefore, the bride and groom can upload photos of their honeymoon for their relatives to see (and comment on).
